Hosting Plans and Pricing

Eden offers two plans: our main dedicated hosting plan and a shared hosting package for smaller sites.

Shared Hosting

With shared hosting, your site will share resources with a number of other sites on the same virtual server.

This is a great plan for low traffic websites that haven’t the resources to maintain their own dedicated server.

With this plan:

• You get a small part of high powered cluster hardware.
• We can upgrade your site fairly easily should traffic increase.
• You get a fully managed service. We will install your site for you and will ensure your virtual server is protected against attack from hackers by installing the latest security updates.
• You get full database backups so your data is kept secure in the event of a hardware failure.

Shared hosting costs only £75 + VAT setup and £75 + VAT a month.

Dedicated Hosting

With dedicated hosting, you get one or more virtual servers to yourself. We will carefully monitor the performance servers and regulate the number of virtual servers we run on them to ensure you’re getting the best possible service.

We’d always recommend two servers, so that you are protected against hardware failure. We can scale the amount of hardware behind your site to match pretty much any traffic level, so if you have a very large number of site visitors then we can handle it.

This is a cost effective plan for customers who are concerned about site performance and want their site to be secure.

With dedicated hosting, you get the benefits of Shared Hosting, plus:

• There are limited number of websites for the hardware. We guarantee no more than two dedicated servers per “CPU core”. This ensures your website has enough power behind it to cope with demand.
• With two or more dedicated servers, you get high availability; your site is replicated over a number of physical servers. If a web server fails, you won’t even notice.
• We can easily add more hardware to your website should you get a sudden increase in site visitors – your visitors won’t even notice.
• Built in server monitoring – we will be informed by text if your website ever goes down.

The cost for PHP sites is £300 + VAT setup per server, and £300 + VAT per month per server. The cost for Ruby on Rails sites is £325 + VAT setup per server, and £325 + VAT per month per server.
